interactive Squash Courts

Benjamin Piltz worked the last half year on an interactive squash court as part of an employment at FUNWITHBALLS GmbH, a daughter company of Kern Innovations GmbH. The technology recognizes the ball when hitting the squash wall. Th output of the recognition is fed back into a computer which calculates the an video output based on the ball hit which is projected back on the squash wall. This way world wide installed squash courts get enhanced with a new dimension for serious training applications and also video games. The latter bring a lot of fun especially for young people as it turns active sports into entertainment.

The system is controllable via a web server which makes it possible to use apps or websites to change the game or training application via a mobile phone or to view training results, gaming scores and compete with other players around the world.
